My First European Adventure
Anyone who knows me knows that I've been dreaming about hitting the streets of Paris, and gazing at Gaudi's architecture in Barcelona for as long as I can remember. So needless to say, this trip was a dream come true for me. I can't begin to describe the feeling I had when my eyes set on the Eiffel Tower for the first time, I think my heart exploded a little. As cliche as that may sound, I absolutely adored Paris, the history and the aesthetically pleasing buildings that made up the city had me in a blissful trance the entire time.
The moment we arrived in Italy, was the beginning of an insane amount of carbs, and boy oh boy were they worth it. Nothing compares to an Italian pizza and a plate full of carbonara. Along with the amazing food in Italy came the amazing scenery, from the beautiful cliff scenes of Cinque Terre to the Roman Forum and Colosseum in Rome. My heart was so full as we ventured through medieval streets and drank wine in 1000 year old strongholds turned into restaurants. We only hit a couple spots in Italy, and I'm already looking forward to hitting a few more on any future European trips.
We ended our wonderful trip in the beautifully sunny Barcelona. From the stunning beaches to tapas in the streets and then to parks with views of the city that pictures can never do justice, Barcelona was my absolute favourite city of this trip. We dedicated a couple days to just relaxing on the beach and it was amazing. The History in this city along with all the intricate architecture made me want to pack up all my stuff in Winkler and move here.
Enjoy just a few of my favourite spots and sceneries that I got to photograph!
