C+S's Outdoor Wedding


Okay. Okay. *Trying to find the right words*

I want nothing more than to be able to properly explain/describe or even SCREAM to the ENTIRE world how much I adore these two. But, alas, words are difficult and none are perfect enough. *Sigh*

So now that I have the dramatics over with... HOW FREAKING GORGEOUS ARE THESE TWO??? I freaked out when, as I was mindlessly scrolling through Instagram back in January, I saw that these two got engaged. FREAKED OUT (I'm really not over the dramatics. Sorry). I'd taken photos of Colton & Shaina a couple times and loved every second of it each time, and when Shaina messaged me and asked me to photograph their wedding, well I freaked out YET AGAIN. These two have basically become my clients turned best friends, so naturally, I had a countdown to their wedding date.

After the lovely ride through, and ongoing, Covid-19 pandemic, we got to their wedding day. And though some things didn't look the way they planned, their day was still nothing short of amazing. I love Colton and Shaina's easy going personality, they truly make everything fun and personal. I mean these two, grew up down the street from each other and had their first look on the street in between their houses. It was the sweetest thing I'd ever seen. They always go with any photo ideas I have, even if they involve Colton legit crying because I've made him look right up into harsh sunlight, they still do it. They are always a dream to take photos of, and I swear I've never seen two people photograph so well.

The rest of their wedding was at Zara's Garden in Winkler, MB and it was perfect (as Zara's always is, Michelle is amazing). It's days like these, and couples like Colton + Shaina, that make me fall in love with my job all over again.

Choosing Brittany to capture our moments together was the BEST decision we've made. Not only did we get a fantastic photographer, but a friend. Brittany will always go above and beyond what is expected of her. And when Colton and I first got pictures done with her through our dating years I knew that was just the beginning.

So when we got engaged she was one of the first people I messaged because we HAD to have her as our photographer (I think she was just as excited about us getting married as we were). And though this year looked a little different than we expected and not everything went as planned, I'm thankful that she was able to capture our day no matter what it looked like. And it was perfect.

And if you're like me and Colton, getting pictures taken can be a little awkward and uncomfortable... but with Brittany we've never experienced that. She has the best personality and makes you feel so calm and comfortable! Colton literally had to make sure Brittany was the one taking our pictures cause he was most comfortable with her!

Needless to say we love you Brittany and are forever grateful for capturing these important moments and look forward to you capturing many more for us.
